Mini-capa Bergere de France / Chauffe-épaules Bergere de France
This cape has a long story... It’s the second time I knit it. It’s part of a Bergere de France kit from a Quelle catalogue I've ordered in 2006! The first time I knitted it on a smaller size. When I realized it was too tight I hesitated between undo or improvise. I had a ball left and I still knitted a pair of strips to add to each side but it didn’t look good… So I undid it and knitted it again (new year’s resolution) on the largest size.
Yarn is “Toison” from Bergere de France which has an interesting texture, even sometimes stitches get sticky on the needles. I used the 5,5 mm needles that came with the kit, they were also my first bamboo needles! The body is knitted on reverse stockinette and the collar on stockinette which is reversed when the collar itself is folded.
Fica perfeita com o meu vestido e até tenho umas luvas em pele a condizer!
It looks perfect with this dress and I even have a pair of matching leather gloves!
